Chris Jericho isn't scouting for talent when watching other wrestling programs.
With the birth of AEW, the bidding war for free agents has heated up over the last month. WWE, AEW, ROH and other promotions across the United States have done their best to lock up key talent before another promotion can get their hands on them. And those currently unhappy in WWE might be looking elsewhere for bigger opportunities.
During last night's WWE Royal Rumble, Jericho commented that AEW is not interested in most talent currently occupying television roles in other promotions. This includes a couple of fan favorites who many believe are underutilized in WWE.
Hey @wwe, @ringofhonor & @IMPACTWRESTLING ... I love watching you push all your randoms, But just know that we are interested in maybe 6-8 of your talents total. We don’t need you! @AEWrestling

The Revival reportedly requested their release on Jan. 14 following their Raw bout against Lucha House Party. Many believed that, if the duo were released, AEW would scoop them up given their on-going feud with the Young Bucks. However, The Revival is reportedly under WWE contract until April 2020.
Cody Rhodes has consistently stated that AEW will be looking for "fresh" talent and won't rely on legends.
