The finish saw Sabin hit Lio with a finisher buffet combo of KUSHIDA's tanaka punch, Alex Shelley's shellshock, and Cradle Shock. Earlier in the bout, Lio kicked out of a first Cradle Shock while Sabin kicked out of Final Hour.

Members of the IMPACT roster, including IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley, celebrated with Sabin after he won the title.

This marks Sabin's tenth reign as IMPACT X-Division Champion. Lio Rush's reign began at IMPACT Slammiversary when he defeated Sabin after jumping him before the bout. He made one successful title defense.

In a historical note, Sabin main evented the first episode of IMPACT in 2004, facing AJ Styles, Elix Skipper, and Michael Shane in a four-way bout to crown a number one contender for the X-Division Championship.
