Although his close friend Edge is medically cleared and back wrestling in WWE, Christian doesn't expect the same to happen to him.
Christian recently appeared on Booker T's "The Hall Of Fame" podcast and was asked about looking to try and get himself cleared to wrestle. Christian says his injury situation is a little different than Edge's situation and he doesn't see himself being medically cleared to ever wrestle again. Despite this admission, Christian, who last wrestled in 2014, said he's happy with what he's done in his WWE career.
“I mean, it’s one of those things. It’s a completely different injury. I’m pretty content with all that I have accomplished in WWE. I pretty much accomplished everything I wanted to do except main event WrestleMania and let’s be honest, how many people have the chance to do that? I’m 46 years old and I had some concussion issues. I don’t see it happening. I am medically disqualified. I’m not sure how I would get cleared," Christian said.
Even if Christian doesn't foresee a WWE return for himself, Corey Graves, who is also retired from in-ring competition, admitted that he thought about trying to get medically cleared while watching the WWE 24 special on Edge.
Edge returned to wrestle at this year's Royal Rumble event in January and at WrestleMania 36, Edge defeated Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match.
