The main event of AEW Double or Nothing has been made official.
Ever since he defeated MJF in a Dog Collar Match at AEW Revolution, CM Punk has been vocal about his desire to challenge for the AEW Championship, even motioning for the belt after each of his victories. Last Wednesday after his bout with Dustin Rhodes, Punk was confronted by Hangman on the stage, though nothing came from their staredown.
On April 27, Punk was on commentary for the Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler match after which it was announced that he would be challenging Hangman for the title in the main event of Double or Nothing on May 29. CM Punk got on the microphone and guaranteed a fight in Las Vegas.
CM Punk has won all but one of his matches since signing with AEW. Page last defended his Championship against Adam Cole in a Texas Deathmatch on the April 15 episode of Rampage.
