Gunther has caught CM Punk's attention.
After he took a few weeks away, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther returned on the January 15 episode of WWE Raw and declared for the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble. The lineup already included names like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, so the addition of Gunther gives the match an even more star-studded field.
In a post on Instagram, CM Punk responded to the news that Gunther will be competing in the Men's Royal Rumble. He wrote that if what he was hearing was real, he felt bad for the other 28 guys in the match. Punk then told Gunther that he would see him in the Royal Rumble.
“Man…if what I’m hearing is real…poor 28 other guys.”
