CM Punk has a list of names he wants to face in the ring, ranging from new stars to old rivals.
CM Punk has only wrestled Drew McIntyre and Dominik Mysterio in a one-on-one capacity since returning at the 2023 WWE Survivor Series event. Be that as it may, Punk has plenty of unfinished business in WWE and plenty of names that he wants to step into the squared circle with before he hangs up his boots for good.
Speaking on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg at ComplexCon, Punk named everybody from Chad Gable to John Cena when asked if there's anyone on the WWE roster he specifically wants to wrestle.
"I’m still reconciling with the schedule and the fact that I’m not 30 years old. When you ask, ‘Who do you want to get in the ring with?’ The list is pretty lengthy. Chad Gable is at the top of the list. Bronson Reed as at the top of the list. (Ludwig) Kaiser is somebody I see a lot in and would be fun. Gunther. I’m selfishly talking about guys I would love to wrestle on house shows. Then you talk about the money stuff. The marquee stuff. What is a match you can see main eventing a pay-per-view. That’s what gets my juices flowing. Whenever myself and Roman Reigns are face to face on television, that’s going to be a moment. The table is set for myself and Cody (Rhodes). You never know when The Rock is going to come back. There is big match John (Cena) coming right around the corner. Another guy that I don’t want to talk about because he’s going to do his own thing. If I’m part of that, what a fortunate career I’ve had. John deserves everything that he wants. He calls his own shot, but I would love to get hands on him too."
CM Punk hasn't wrestled since defeating Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood 2024. He will return for an upcoming live event in Madison Square Garden. Learn more here.
In the meantime, Punk returned to his WWE ECW roots by reportedly joining the cast of a new Syfy series. Learn more about that here.
