Cody Reveals New Ring Of Honor Championship

A new version of the Ring of Honor World title has been unveiled.

In a video posted this afternoon (which you can see above), Cody says that he had been doing media all day when Joe Koff gave him a gift, the new version of the Ring of Honor World title. He mentioned that there was now a name plate on the title, but it was empty because they don't know who will become champion at Final Battle. Cody finished the promo by saying his essence was imbued with the title, nameplate or not, and that this championship was made for him.

Here is a better look at the title Cody held during the promo:

This would be the third design of the title, with the first being introduced in 2002. The second was introduced in 2012. Cody has been champion since June 23, when he defeated Christopher Daniels for the championship. He's set to defend against Dalton Castle this Sunday at Final Battle in New York.

Other title matches include a four way between champion Kenny King, Punishment Martinez, Shane Taylor and Silas Young for the Television title, Motor City Machine Guns vs. Best Friends for the tag team titles and The Young Bucks and Adam Page vs. Dragon Lee, Flip Gordon and Titan for the ROH World Six Man tag team titles.
