Cody Rhodes Chooses To Face Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 40, Reigns Chooses The Rock

The WrestleMania 40 main event is still not set.

Nothing was made official at WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Press Conference as Roman Reigns decided he was going to face The Rock at WrestleMania 40. Roman said that it was his decision to make because Cody stepped aside and was old news.

The Rock came out to a mixed reaction and explained why him vs. Reigns is the biggest WrestleMania main event of all time. Rock also showed a graphic of the Bloodline family tree, saying they are the one true dominant and royal family in wrestling.

Cody came out and called it "bullshit." Cody said he chooses to face Reigns at WrestleMania. Reigns said the decision was no longer Cody's. Cody brought up Roman's family, and Rock stepped in, saying speaking about Roman's family was also speaking about Rock's family. Cody mentioned Rock's grandfather, and Rock slapped him, leading to a pull apart between Rock, Roman, Seth Rollins, and Cody.

In the back, Rock told Triple H that Seth and Cody can't speak about their family like that and told him to fix it.

Rhodes won the men's Royal Rumble, earning him a shot at the champion of his choosing in the main event of WrestleMania 40. On Friday's WWE SmackDown, Rhodes seemingly stepped aside to allow The Rock to face Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
