Rhodes responded to a social media post about the promo on its two-year anniversary and stated that he would always feel privileged that he got to say goodbye with these words and the match that followed. He stated that it was a fun, wild crowd, and it was a fond memory.

Rhodes, a three-time TNT Champion, then left AEW and made his WWE return at WrestleMania 38. Since then, he has become one of the company's top stars.

These days, Cody Rhodes is focused on finishing the story. He will compete in the Men's Royal Rumble match, hoping to earn a world title shot at WrestleMania 40. First, he will meet face-to-face with former AEW World Champion CM Punk on the January 22 episode of WWE Raw. More information is available here.

Rhodes recently stated that he wants to be the face of WWE, but you can't be the king without a crown. Check out his comments here.
