“I wish this was under a bit of better terms. Last week, AJ implied that I cannot carry the weight of this championship. [Styles says that isn’t what he said.] Well, that’s what it sounded like. Hey, perhaps there’s a chance, here and now, tonight as well. It’s no secret. Former leader of the Bullet Club," Rhodes said.

The crowd chanted "Too Sweet", and Rhodes made the symbol. He went to "Too Sweet" with AJ Styles, who teased going for it, but he walked away. Rhodes then put up the "Too Sweet" again, and Michael Cole gave it to him.

Rhodes then vowed to walk out of WWE Backlash as the champion.

Styles recently discussed his time in NJPW. Check out his comments here.
