Cody Rhodes continues to insist that there is no ill-will toward AEW following his departure.
Cody Rhodes helped AEW get started back in 2019. In fact, for the three years that he was with the company, he was an Executive Vice President. However, in February of this year, he decided to go back to WWE in order to settle some unfinished business and finally have at least one officially recognized reign with the WWE Championship as a member of the Rhodes family.
Recently, a fan tweeted that they will not be watching this year's Double or Nothing event because they were not happy with Cody's departure. In his reply, Cody insisted that there was no dispute in creative direction or contract value that led to his exit from All Elite Wrestling it was simply a matter of it being time to move on.
