Cody Rhodes has a lot of love for Dustin Rhodes and their unique brotherhood.
Cody Rhodes' first match in All Elite Wrestling was against his half-brother, Dustin, at the inaugural AEW Double or Nothing Event in 2019. They would go on to briefly team, and since Cody's 2022 exit from AEW, both brothers have had nothing but positive things to say about one another.
In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, Cody revealed that he would like to induct Dustin into the Hall of Fame and said he would never turn down the opportunity to team with his brother again.
“I would like to induct Dustin into the Hall of Fame,” says Rhodes. “I would also never turn down an opportunity to team with him again, and we’ve had an even better experience wrestling against each other.”
Cody also expressed hope that wrestling fans understand how hard Dustin is working to continue to perform at a top level, calling his brother an all-time great in the ring.
“It’s a very unique brotherhood,” says Rhodes. “Dustin’s an all-time great. I’m not saying he’s going anywhere, but he won’t be here forever. I hope people appreciate that he is still trying to go at the highest level and trying to pass his knowledge on, and I would jump at the chance to do one more thing with him. To induct him in the Hall of Fame, which is so well deserved on his part–and Arn Anderson. Arn is blood in his own way. I’d love to do more with Dustin and Arn.”
Rhodes recently elaborated on his relationship with Arn Anderson, saying that he would move mountains to be able to work with Double-A again. Read more here.
