Colt Cabana is officially All Elite.
The Chicago native made a surprise appearance at AEW Revolution, helping out SCU in their battle against the Dark Order. Cabana was reportedly a free agent after leaving ROH, but it was confirmed by AEW President Tony Khan that Cabana has signed with AEW.
"Colt is working here," Khan confirmed. "He does a variety of things. He already started as an announcer and now he's gonna be working as a wrestler. I could see Colt wrestling for us on a regular basis. He can chip in as a commentator and also as a coach. He's a valuable mind. He's signed here. He can work, at my discretion, Colt can work other places."
Details on Cabana's contract were not given. Cabana is scheduled to participate in the NJPW New Japan Cup, though part of the tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus and new dates for the tournament are not known.
Cabana is a well-respected veteran in the sport having worked for most major companies including ROH, NJPW, WWE, NWA, and more. While he has yet to wrestle under the AEW banner, he did compete in the All In Casino Battle Royale. He also did commentary work on AEW Dark in December.
