(NEW YORK — April 14, 2025) — Orange Crush is delighted to announce its latest art fair presentation at NADA New York 2025 with international professional wrestler Thekla. The works on display will provide another perspective of the Austria-born and Japan-based performer.A creative and physical force, Thekla Kaischauri’s career trajectory can be traced to her roots. In childhood, she trained in ballet, martial arts, and violin. As a young adult, she became a part of Austria’s punk music scene and joined the wrestling circuit. She would later go on to complete her Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.Much of Thekla’s art reflects her passion for and insight into Japanese joshi (women’s) wrestling as part of the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion. The vibrant paintings like The Cage and Fractured capture performers in action. Likewise, Self Portrait (Tankobu) portrays Thekla’s wrestling persona bruised and battered post-match. Notably, Thekla designs many of her own wrestling outfits and blends both of her creative worlds.

“I am thrilled to bring these works to America and NADA New York alongside Orange Crush,” said Thekla. “Each of these works is inspired by the sportsmanship and craft of wrestling. I want to show the beauty in the brutality.”Thekla’s NADA presentation follows Orange Crush’s collaboration with All Elite Wrestling (AEW)’s Lee Moriarty during NADA Miami 2024. Wrestling fans and the art world alike flocked to the booth, selling out all of the works within the first day of the fair.
