Comments Disabled for New Day Video On WWE's YouTube Channel

Well, this was probably for the best.

On a night that saw the Raw crowd in Brooklyn intoning "We Want Paige" to the beat of "New ... Day Rocks", among other clever chants, the WWE decided to have the New Day appear in a pre-taped backstage segment only.

Leave it to Big E to address the elephant in the room, while also somehow not mentioning it at all.

Of course, the thing that Xavier Woods wanted to tell them was that The New Day would be hosting WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. Then the trio plugged all the big matches on the card and the harmless segment was over.

WWE was able to get through this part of the night unscathed.

And possibly in an attempt to further sweep this whole messy business under the rug, the WWE has disabled comments for the above YouTube video.

Probably the wisest course of action, I would say.

Time will tell how quick people are to forget the scandal, however. There almost certainly won't be any pre-taped segments for the New Day when they are hosting WrestleMania 33 in just 12 days, and you can't disable comments on a live capacity crowd.
