Damian Priest discusses CM Punk's involvement in the World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Clash at the Castle.
CM Punk helped Damian Priest retain his World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle over Drew McIntyre as Punk continued his vendetta against McIntyre. Priest, who was knocked out for the duration of CM Punk's involvement in the match, wanted to put the message out front and center that he had no idea CM Punk helped him.
Speaking at the press conference following WWE Clash at the Castle in Scotland, Priest also discussed his desire to step into the ring with the former WWE Champion.
"Number one, I didn't even know he was here. I had no idea that he was gonna get involved. I found out literally as I was walking out and I saw him with the referee t-shirt on and then I was told in the back what happened. As far as him being back, it's fine. He's a huge star. We all know his accolades. We all know his resume. So when he's back healthy if he can perform still at that high level and he earns his way, I would love to share that ring with him, but he's gonna have to earn it because I am the World Champion."
CM Punk is, first and foremost, eager to get his hands on Drew McIntyre but he's not looking to have any type of specialty match against him.

Priest also appeared to suffer a bit of an injury at WWE Clash at the Castle following a dive to the outside gone wrong. Immediately following the match, however, he said he wasn't planning on missing any time if he had his way,
