WWE kicked off a two-week special with NXT Spring Breakin' on April 23. Several stars from the main roster made surprise appearances on the show.
Ahead of the main event, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest wished NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov luck as he made his way to the ring for his match against Trick Williams.

Former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano spoke with Trick Williams and gave him some advice ahead of his title match against reigning champion Ilja Dragunov.

Former NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius Creed) and Ivy Nile appeared and picked Trick Williams to win the main event.

JD McDonagh and former NXT UK Champions Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate also appeared, and they discussed the main event title match.

Additionally, The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) appeared in a backstage segment. Elsewhere on the show, Shayna Baszler was revealed as Lola Vice's training partner for her NXT Underground match against Natalya,
Plus, The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Scarlett, the Authors of Pain, and Paul Ellering) continued their NXT run in a taped message.
