Hangman Adam Page may have found his next challenger for the AEW Championship.
Last week, Lance Archer returned to AEW after a prolonged absence due to injury. On that night, he interrupted a heated exchange between Hangman Page and Dan Lambert, attacking the Champion instead of the man he had been feuding with prior to his injury.
During the January 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, Archer competed against and defeated Frankie Kazarian. After the match, Lambert got on the mic and said that Hangman "just isn't old enough for this." He provided examples, saying that he didn't grow up outside and drink water from a hose, run home from the Rocky movie to tell dad he wanted to be a pro boxer. Instead, Lambert posits that Page and his friends played video games inside and sipped Perrier out of a bottle. He also said that Toy Story made Hangman want to become an east-coast dairy farmer giving handjobs to heifers to make soy milk to sell to Starbucks. He closed by saying Page is not physically or mentally prepared to face a monster like Archer.
Archer then began attacking Kazarian as a way of showing Hangman wait awaits him, but the AEW Champion came to the longtime SCU member's aid. They brawled on the ramp and eventually into the ring where Page sent Archer over the top rope. Archer tried to re-engage but was held back by his representatives.
The old man has the microphone again.#DanLambert tells us all what he really thinks, but @LanceHoyt shows his intentions through his actions!
