Dana White On Ronda Rousey's Potential UFC Return: There's No Shot

Dana White comments on Ronda Rousey's potential return to UFC.

In November 2012, Rousey became the first female fighter to sign with UFC, and she was the first UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. She went on to have a legendary UFC career, and she was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. UFC 300 will be held in 2024, and with Rousey reportedly finishing up with WWE, fans have speculated that she could return to UFC, at least for one more fight.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, UFC President Dana White shot down the rumors.

“There’s no shot. She’s accomplished everything she set out to do. Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships," White said.

A previous report from Ariel Helwani stated that Rousey was not considering a UFC comeback.

As of this writing, Rousey's last bout in the UFC came in December 2016, when she lost to Amanda Nunes.

Rousey lost to Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match at WWE SummerSlam on August 5. She subsequently stated that she had no reason to stay in the business. Ahead of the bout, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Rousey has a "hard out" date before WrestleMania 40.

Rousey's second book is set to be released in April 2024. More information is available here.
