The Danielson family has gotten a new member as Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella have welcomed their first child.
WWE announced via social media that the two welcomed their first daughter, Birdie Joe Danielson. The baby was born on Tuesday, May 9 at 11:58 p.m. The healthy baby girl came into the world at 8 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches.
In a statement to WWE.com, Brie expressed her gratitude over becoming a mother.
“There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter,” Brie said. “I can’t even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling. Now we know what parents mean about the love you feel when you first meet your child. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world.”
Brie has retired from in-ring competition in order to further focus on starting a family with the former WWE Heavyweight Champion, real name Bryan Danielson. Bryan retired from in-ring competition in 2016 after winning the Intercontinental Championship and being sidelined from the ring. Bryan has served as SmackDown Live’s general manager.
Even though Brie has not been an active wrestler for about a year, she has remained with the WWE, being a cast member of the WWE reality series Total Divas and has also co-starred alongside her twin sister Nikki in their own reality series Total Bellas, both of which Bryan has also appeared.
Congratulations the Danielson family on their newest addition to the family.
