Daniel Bryan wants to make sure his WWE contract is a good one.
Daniel Bryan's current WWE contract has been reported to end in September which is only possible because Bryan served as Smackdown General Manager while he wasn't cleared to wrestle. In an interview with Fox Sports, Bryan said his contract has been held up because his lawyer is looking at it.
“This is the first time in my career, ever - the thing that’s taking so long with all of it is I’ve never hired a lawyer before to look at a contract," said Bryan. “My last contract I think I signed in 2012. So then, I wasn't married. Brie and I were together, but I wasn't married. So, you’re just trying to get all of your ducks in a row, especially because I’m older, and married, and have a baby," he continued.
In July, Fightful Wrestling reported that Daniel Bryan had came to agreement with WWE but that report was later contradicted by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer who said Bryan had not signed. Earlier this month, the WWE-related reality show Daniel Bryan appears on Total Bellas was confirmed for a fourth season.
At SummerSlam, Daniel Bryan will be wrestling the Miz in a long-standing feud and Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage, discussion, and a recapping podcast for the event.
