Daniel Garcia: I Want To Main Event PPVs, I Want To Prove I Can Be A Top Guy

Daniel Garcia will be in AEW for the foreseeable future, announcing on the October 8th episode of AEW Dynamite that he was staying with the promotion.

Garcia's future was in question as he was in a contract year.

Garcia has been regularly featured on television since joining AEW in 2021, winning the ROH Pure Championship, having a series of matches with Bryan Danielson, being aligned with Chris Jericho, and more.

“I think the biggest thing for me in this next year is that I really wanna main event pay-per-views,” Garcia told Raj Prashad of Uproxx. “I wanna prove that I can be a top guy. I feel like that’s what I’m ready for. I feel like that’s what I’ve been ready for. And that was my reason for staying at AEW. I wanna prove that I can be somebody that the company can build around, and I can be a top guy in this promotion.”

Garcia did main event Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, teaming with Private Party (Zay & Quen) against Jack Perry and the Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson).
