Daniel Garcia wants to step in the ring with the likes of Samoa Joe, Gabe Kidd, and more.
Daniel Garcia continues to test himself against the best that AEW has to offer, but he still has several dream opponents. Speaking with Baby Huey on the In The Kliq podcast, Garcia named some dream opponents, including former AEW and Ring of Honor World Champion Samoa Joe.
Garcia has never stepped into the ring with Joe, and he wants to change that. He also wants to compete against Konosuke Takeshita in a singles match and take the opportunity to face Gabe Kidd in a crossover match with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
"I've never wrestled Samoa Joe. Me and Samoa Joe have never done anything together. Me and Takeshita have never wrestled in the AEW ring. Well, we did like a tag team match, but we never had a singles match," he said. "As far as New Japan goes, Gabe Kidd is somebody who I would just love to hit in the face. He's somebody who, I think, a lot of people could kind of compare us; we're both bald, brash young men. Yeah, and he's somebody who I have history with as well; we've never touched in the wrestling ring. If you go back, you can find the tweets, you can find the videos of us going at each other.
"He's somebody who is having a career year right now. He had the match with Kenny at the Dome. I'm somebody who's having a career year as well. I have the TNT Title. I'm a champion of a network. I'm the face of a network, and he's becoming the face of a company. Gabe Kid is becoming a legitimate face of a company. He's been on Collision the past couple of weeks. So, hopefully, we can cross paths, I can hit him in his loud British mouth, and we can see what happens."
Gabe Kidd has been very outspoken about how he feels about AEW. Read some of his comments here.
Elsewhere in this interview, Garcia spoke about legendary free agents coming into AEW. Read his thoughts on that matter here.
