Darby Allin speaks ahead of AEW All In.
At AEW All In 2023, Jack Perry was involved in a backstage incident with CM Punk that led to Punk's eventual firing from the company. The incident stemmed from Perry saying "Real glass, cry me a river" to the camera during his match with HOOK, referencing a previous incident with Punk about using real glass during a TV segment.
The altercation between Punk and Perry was shown on an episode of AEW Dynamite in April.
Ahead of AEW All In 2024, Allin commented on using the incident during his feud with Perry.
"I think the best thing is when you can bring stuff that you are actually passionate about, and the fact that he did what he did last year was annoying. It was super annoying because you think of 80,000 plus fans, and then you’re gonna go into business for yourself.
"There’s literally people that would die for that opportunity, people that will never get to ever do that, and then you’re more focused on that. So of course I would bring that in because that p*ssed me off. It p*ssed off a lot of people. It’s just ungrateful," Allin told Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes.
Allin will challenge Perry for the AEW TNT Title in a Coffin Match at AEW All In.
