David Finlay On The NJPW Locker Room: Everyone's Hungry For Opportunity

The young stars are hungry in NJPW.

Like ECW and Ring of Honor before it, New Japan Pro Wrestling has gotten accustomed to new stars being created in the company, and then moving on to different pastures. It's happened with stars such as Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Finn Balor/Prince Devitt, AJ Styles, Jay White, and more but there are always new stars waiting in the wings of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

David Finlay is one of those stars and he recently told Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that the locker room in NJPW is hungry and ready to make names for themselves by becoming the next class of New Japan superstars.

"Well, the company's been around since 1972. This isn't even the first generation that people have left. They have always been fine and it's new stars have always been made because I think just the caliber that everybody can wrestle at is very, very high. Everyone's hungry for opportunity there. So you get an opportunity and then you're going to bring your A game. So it's the nature of the business. There's going to be people that are constantly leaving at any point in time and it's just going to open up more opportunities for the young hungry guys to come up and show that they were ready all along," Finlay said.

Finlay recently battled Zack Sabre Jr. at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Windy City Riot, in Chicago, Illionois.
