David Finlay: Whatever Jay White And Juice Robinson Are Doing In AEW Is Not Part Of Bullet Club

David Finlay sets the record straight on Bullet Club.

Finlay joined the group at NJPW 51st Anniversary Show and took over after former leader Jay White left NJPW. White lost both a Loser Leaves Japan match and a Loser Leaves NJPW match in February, so the change was inevitable for Bullet Club. Finlay has kicked off a new chapter of the stable's history; he added Clark Connors to the group and kicked El Phantasmo out. Meanwhile, White signed with AEW reunited with Juice Robinson, and introduced Bullet Club Gold to the world.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Finlay discussed the new era of Bullet Club and noted that the group previously lost sight of its mission under the old regime. He made it clear that Bullet Club is meant to disrupt and destroy.

“We lost sight of what Bullet Club is designed to do. We became obsessed with selling T-shirts. That isn’t our intent. Bullet Club is here to disrupt and destroy. “This is my Bullet Club. It’s going to be the most violent, ruthless version, and it’s going to be defined by blood and championship gold," Finlay said.

At NJPW Capital Collision, Finlay revealed Clark Connors as the newest member of the group. The new version also features Bad Luck Fale, KENTA, Taiji Ishimori, and Gedo, and Finlay made it clear that his faction is the one and only Bullet Club. He emphasized that Bullet Glub Gold is nothing more than an imitation.

“Juice and Jay, whatever they’re doing in AEW, I don’t know what that is. Make no mistake—they are not part of the real Bullet Club," Finlay said.

Chris Jericho recently highlighted Jay White's decision to sign with AEW as an example of the company's momentum. Click here to check out his comments.
