Deonna Purrazzo Makes WWE Debut On Raw In Loss To Asuka

Fans in Iowa got a surprise on Monday as Deonna Purrazzo made her WWE Raw debut, challenging Asuka.

A video package aired for Purrazzo prior to her entrance and she got the first crack on Asuka, immediately striking once she got in the ring. Purrazzo put up a fight against Asuka, but in the end, "The Empress of Tomorrow" was able to put "The Virtuosa" away with the Asuka lock.

Purrazzo did work as an extra for WWE in the past before signing a contract with the promotion in May 2018. She is a regular at NXT live events in Florida and made it to the Quarterfinals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic. She has made a handful of appearances on NXT and NXT UK television but hasn't worked a taped event since appearing in a battle royal at WWE Worlds Collide in April 2019.

It is unknown if Purrazzo will be part of the Raw brand moving forward or if this was a one-off appearance. She was introduced as an NXT superstar.
