Deonna Purrazzo wants to tap out Mercedes Mone.
Purrazzo and Mone have been two of the biggest additions to AEW's women's division in 2024. Furthermore, both performers have been very successful since starting with the company, with Mercedes Mone winning the TBS Championship and Deonna Purrazzo feuding with the likes of Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa.
While speaking to Stephanie Chase for a new interview, Purrazzo spoke about wanting a submission match with Mone, saying that it's on her bucket list.
"We had never crossed paths before. Obviously, we knew each other and if I was up for Raw or SmackDown or was an extra, we would say hello, but in terms of getting to know each other and sharing a locker room with each other, wrestling each other, that’s never happened. I feel that’s on the bucket list for me. My dream match with her would be a submission match. We both cemented our careers on kind of being submission specialists. She has won championships all over the world with her submission, and so have I. If we were to work together, that would be my ultimate match, a submission match with Mercedes Mone."
Elsewhere in the interview, Purrazzo spoke on the locker room incident between MJF and Britt Baker. Learn more about those comments by clicking here.
Purrazzo competed on the August 10 edition of AEW Collision. Check out Fightful's report on the show by visiting this link.
