The fitness guru himself weighs in on The Undertaker possibly returning for another match.
As fans are eager for this Sunday's WrestleMania to see if The Undertaker will finally respond to John Cena's comments about him, there will continue to be speculation until that day finally comes. In the mean time a man who once feuded with The Undertaker, WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page spoke with The Express to give his take on The Undertaker possibly competing in another match considering the shape he appeared to be in at last year's WrestleMania.
"I never say you shouldn't be (competing) because we all have this different level of drive. It's something that there's no other drug like it when you get out there and especially at Mania. Taker at Mania steps it up and has some of the best matches that have been on Mania. So I understand the want and if he feels he can still go do it. You know what I say? God bless him." DDP stated. "I want to see the match, I want to see what he's going to do this year, because you know he's going to be doing something. A lot of you guys don't realize it. When you're like under 6'0 it's just easier. I don't mean the moves are easier, the wear and tear on your body. When you're up like 6’4’’ it's a different level of how your body breaks down, but when you're over 6'7'' and 6'9'' like Taker is, I mean it’s so much wear and tear on your body. Like it's mind-boggling.”
The former 3-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion also revealed that the last time he saw "The Deadman" which was at the screening of the "Ric Flair 30 For 30" documentary, Undertaker appeared to be in great shape.
“Last time I saw him we were at Ric Flair's 30 for 30. He looked amazing, he said he felt great. So if you can still look good and feel good then you're halfway there. Like I said, I always look forward to what he's going to do, how it's gonna go down out there and got to be in the ring with him. The guy is super super easy to work with. It wasn't one of my best matches because that's not how they were written in the storylines, but I loved working with him. He was so light, he wasn’t like, beating the hell out of you. He takes care of the guy in the ring and that's what you're supposed to do," He continued, "He puts more of the impact on himself than he will you, unless you're doing the Last Ride... He's really taking care of you. I’m just glad to see him out there. I know he feels good about it and hopefully he can keep running it at the same pace.”
Diamond Dallas Page was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year and there will be a new batch of inductees this year. Stay tuned to Fightful this Friday for our live coverage the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony.
