Dillon McQueen is gone from wrestling, at least for the time being.
On November 11, 2023, McQueen faced Hunter Drake in an I Quit match at New South Pro Wrestling's 'The Saga Continues' event. Near the end of the bout, Drake, Brogan Finlay, and Rico Gonzalez caused severe damage to the right eye of McQueen. Many videos of this incident went viral on social media, mainly due to the graphic nature of the spot.
I hate you @the_hunterdrake for orchestrating this violence against @DillonMcQueen! You attacked him with a pair of scissors then had your goons @Rico94Gonzalez & @Brogan_finlay finish what you started.@NewSouth_PW

On Monday, November 27, McQueen took to social media and provided an update. In his short statement, McQueen said that in his new phase of life, he isn't sure that he can take an onslaught like that again. McQueen finished off his statement by saying that in his current state, he can't see himself stepping back in the ring and that he doesn't know if or when he'll be back.
Thank you wrestling for four years. Thank you for helping me live my dream. I don’t know what’s next for me…
