Dolph Ziggler has been released by WWE
Fightful has confirmed that Dolph Ziggler has been released by WWE.
He last wrestled on the May 29 episode of WWE Raw, going to a double count out with JD McDonagh.
Ziggler has not publicly commented on his release.
Ziggler signed with WWE in 2004 and was presented as a member of the Spirit Squad, performing under the name Nicky. After the Spirit Squad ended in 2006, Ziggler spent time in developmental before being repackaged and moved to the main roster in 2008.
Ziggler has been a staple on WWE television since 2008 and one of the most accomplished wrestlers in WWE during that time.
He is a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, NXT Champion, two-time United States Champion, six-time Intercontinental Champion, SmackDown Tag Team Champion, two-time Raw Tag Team Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and Money in the Bank winner.
