Dolph Ziggler Suggests Drew McIntyre Could Go After WWE Universal Championship

Dolph Ziggler is content with his current Championship title.

At WWE SummerSlam, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler will be defending his title against former Champion Seth Rollins but his new tag team partner Drew McIntyre does not have a match. In an interview with Newsweek Ziggler said he's not interested in the WWE Universal Championship right now but McIntyre could have it in his sights.

“If I was sitting at home with no titles, I would want to be the Universal Champion. But right now I’m the Intercontinental Champion, I beat one of the best wrestlers in the world for it so I would love to keep it. Monday we show up, beat the hell out of all three guys of the SHIELD and go...Hey, if Roman wins on Sunday maybe Drew is first in line for the title and we have all the titles in three months," said Ziggler.

The Universal Championship is being contested at SummerSlam in a match between Roman Reigns and the current Champion Brock Lesnar.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage, discussion, and a recapping podcast for the entire WWE SummerSlam card.
