"Dirty" Dom retains.
Dominik Mysterio retained the NXT North American Title at NXT Great American Bash, defeating Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali in a triple threat match.
As has been the case for "Dirty" Dom, he got plenty of help from "Mami" Rhea Ripley.
Ripley put Lee through a table with the Rip Tide and handed Dom the championship to hit Lee with. Lee was able to kick out, but the damage had been done. After knocking Dominik down off the top rope, Ali hit a 450 on Lee and seemed to have the title won, by Ripley pulled him out of the ring.
Dominik steadied himself on the top rope and hit a frog splash on Lee to get the pin and retain the title.

Mysterio won the NXT North American Title on the July 18 episode of NXT by defeating Lee. This marked the third successful title defense.
