Dominik Mysterio Pays Homage To His Dad, Wins WWE Intercontinental Title With Frog Splash At WrestleMania 41

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio has won his first WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE WrestleMania 41.

In a Fatal 4-Way at WWE WrestleMania 41, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio defeated Penta, Finn Balor, and then-champion Bron Breakker to win his first singles championship on the WWE main roster. After years of Dom being one of the most despised men on the roster by the WWE fan base, the crowd in Las Vegas was actually heavily cheering Mysterio as he hit a Frog Splash that Eddie Guerrero would be proud of to pin his Judgment Day stablemate, Finn Balor, to win the title.

Mysterio even took a victory lap because the crowd was so in his corner.

Domink's dad, Rey Mysterio, won the Intercontinental Championship with a splash back in 2009 at WrestleMania 25. Unfortunately, Rey Mysterio suffered an injury that prevented him from competing at this year's event. Learn more here.
