Dominik Mysterio took his feud with his father to a new level.
For months, Dominik has been feuding with his father, Rey Mysterio. His persistent efforts to goad Rey into a match were initially fruitless, but the legend agreed to fight his son at WWE WrestleMania 39 on the March 17 episode of SmackDown after Dominik told his mom to shut up.
On the March 27 episode of WWE Raw, Dominik emphasized that he was upset with Rey for hitting him; he noted that it takes a real deadbeat to hit their son. Clearly fired up, Dominik stated that he wished Eddie Guerrero was his real father and that Rey never existed.

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero feuded over Dominik's paternity in a classic storyline, in which Dominik made a number of appearances on WWE TV during his childhood. The two stars even battled for custody of Dominik in a Ladder Match at WWE SummerSlam 2005.
After Dominik's promo, he attacked his father during a match with Damian Priest, but Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) came to the ring to help Rey.
