"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio responds to CM Punk having a desire to punch him in the face with a clip from one of CM Punk's AEW matches where the "Best in the World" slipped up.
CM Punk is scheduled to have his first matches back as a WWE Superstar against Dominik Mysterio. Dom is, of course, the son of Rey Mysterio. In 2010, Punk and Rey Mysterio engaged in a very volatile and personal rivalry involving CM Punk coming face-to-face with a young Dominik. Knowing their history, Punk hyped the upcoming House show matches by saying he's wanted to punch Dom in the face since he was 8 years old.
Dom responded to this by posting a GIF on Twitter of CM Punk failing to hit a Springboard Clothesline in AEW and instead having to refind his footing and deliver a forearm to Austin Gunn.

The match referenced took place on June 1, 2022's AEW Dynamite and was a Trios bout pitting Cash Wheeler, CM Punk & Dax Harwood against Max Caster & The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn). Before the match, Punk did a stage dive into the crowd and injured his foot, taking him out of action for nearly 3 months.
CM Punk is back in action now for WWE and looking to finish what he started. For Punk, that journey begins at the WWE Royal Rumble where he has already entered the titular 30-man battle royal.
