Don Callis Challenges Chris Jericho To Face Konosuke Takeshita On 2/7 AEW Dynamite

Konosuke Takeshita is set to get his rematch against Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho has been feuding with Takeshita and the Don Callis family for the past several months. The rivalry spilled over into DDT, as Jericho beat Takeshita at DDT Ultimate Party on November 12, 2023. They have also clashed in multi-man matches; most recently, Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and Sting beat Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, and Big Bill at AEW Worlds End.

The rivalry has continued to heat up, as Takeshita and Hobbs cost Jericho and Guevara their match against Bill and Starks at AEW Battle of the Belts IX. Jericho and Takeshita then brawled on the January 19 episode of AEW Rampage.

On the January 26 episode of AEW Rampage, Takeshita defeated Christopher Daniels. After the match, Don Callis said that it was time to end things with Jericho, so he challenged him to face Takeshita on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. When Kyle Fletcher said he wanted a shot, Callis challenged Jericho to first face him on the January 31 episode.
