Doug Williams Drops The PROGRESS Atlas Championship To Trent Seven And Retires From Wrestling

A storied career in the books.

It was made official last month that British wrestling veteran Doug Williams was going to be defending his PROGRESS Atlas Championship against Trent Seven at 'Hello Wembley'. The match took place today and not only was championship gold on the line but Doug Williams made it clear that if he lost the match he would retire from wrestling.

When it was all said and done at the SSE Arena between Trent Seven and Doug Williams, Seven emerged victorious and became the new and seventh PROGRESS Atlas Champion. Once the match was over the two competitors embraced one another and the entire roster who is competing  at 'Hello Wembley' came from behind the curtain and gave Doug Williams a thunderous ovation as he is tying the bow on his 25-year career in professional wrestling.
