Dr. Wagner Jr. comments on Hijo de Wagner Jr. and his future.
Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. recently confirmed that he would be a free agent on January 2nd. He has wrestled for IWRG, AAA, NOAH, and other promotions in recent months, and he has been linked to WWE. He is a former GHC Heavyweight Champion, the GHC National Champion, and GHC Tag Team Champion.
Speaking with La Tijera, Dr. Wagner Jr. commented on the status of his son, Hijo de Wagner Jr.
“I want him to make his own path. One does not force elements on things, specially on my son so I want. I did try to guide him to get experience and become a star like myself and his grandfather, but he has form his own path so people can support him. They used to compare me with my father, much like how people compared him to me, but that’s not the case because he consolidated himself. Congratulations to my son, but I hope he chooses whatever he wants. One can have influence, but the decision is his," he said.
Wagner also reflected on the legacy of the Wagner family. He stated that he was filled with happiness for all of his son's success. He then said that Hijo de Wagner Jr. has received multiple offers, including from WWE and AAA.
"Specially [the] public comes to see Legado Wagner formed by father, followed by me, and now continued with my son. I am currently filled with happiness like a stuffed turkey with all the success he’s had and the experience he’s had. He has received multiple offers from companies, including from WWE and AAA, so it’s up to him to decide what he wants to do and who he wants to be so he can form his own legacy," he said.
