Drew Gulak extends the invitation to Brock Lesnar.
After walking onto the 205 Live brand three years ago as an original roster member of the Tuesday night show, Drew Gulak was able to get his hands on the WWE Cruiserweight Championship for the first time, last month at WWE's Stomping Grounds pay-per-view. This weekend, Drew will be in action on Saturday at EVOLVE's 10th Anniversary show and will be defending his Cruiserweight Title at Extreme Rules the following day and both of those shows emanate from his home-state of Pennsylvania.
Drew Gulak is returning home to wrestle and while preparing for his homecoming, Gulak spoke with the international media about a handful of topics and mentioned how he would like to see Mr. Money In The Bank Brock Lesnar cut weight and join 205 Live.
(Quotes by way of SPORTbible):
"I'd like to see Brock Lesnar cut a load of weight and join 205 Live because I think it would be cool to see. Then we could really see what he's made of." Gulak said.
Drew Gulak has shared the ring with every member of the 205 Live roster and feels that there is no one worthy of a title shot right now. Gulak has Tony Nese awaiting him at Extreme Rules and says he does not want to overlook Nese, but doesn't think 205 Live's roster members' hearts are in the right place for a title shot.
"I look around the 205 Live roster and I don't see too many people who are worthy of a championship match right now. You have a lot of skilled guys but I don't think their hearts are in the right place to challenge for a championship, and also I don't want to look past Tony Nese, he's my next opponent and really he's who I've been focusing on." He said.
The Extreme Rules match card sits at 10 matches with four days left to go until the show. Head over to Fightful's "events" page to keep an eye on the card.
