Drew McIntyre Praises Irish Independent Star Adam Maxted

Drew McIntyre has praise for an up-and-coming Irish star.

Adam Maxted isn't a household name in America, but he has made a name for himself in Europe with his appearances on reality TV and rise up the ranks on the wrestling Independent scene. Maxted was a contestant on ITV's 'Love Island,' a dating reality show. Following his time on the show, Maxted entered the world of wrestling, eventually landing a tryout with WWE in 2017. He recently wrestled for World of Sport.

WWE superstar Drew McIntyre recently spoke to the Irish Mirror about Maxted potentially ending up in WWE.

"I'm sure it's inevitable that he'll get an opportunity on the big stage," said McIntyre. "He works extremely hard, he's very dedicated to wrestling and he has a passion for it, which you can tell just from talking to him. I was in the ring with him, and I'm a very physical guy, but he was bringing it just as good as he was taking it which said it all to me. And on top of that, if you can turn heads when you walk down the street then that's obviously going to help with people who aren't wrestling fans that wouldn't always watch the product. He's got a very marketable look, which is certainly an asset on top of his passion."

McIntyre is currently with WWE as part of their European tour. He is scheduled to team with Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley against Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman in Belfast, Northern Ireland later today.

McIntyre will be part of the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match on May 19.
