Drew McIntyre's Final Words Before WWE Bad Blood: It's Not Gonna Be 'Cinema.' There Will Be Blood

Drew McIntyre says no matter what happens, the hatred between himself and CM Punk will die inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been feuding for most of 2024 since McIntire injured Punk in the Royal Rumble. After two matches on pay-per-view, each man picked up a victory. The rivalry will be settled inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood.

After ten months of vitriolic verbiage from both men, Drew McIntyre took to X and issued one final message to CM Punk and a warning to all audience members watching the match on October 5.

"Ten months in the making... I had some plans for some online carnage this week, but life is a way of altering plans. So these are my final thoughts," he began. "I'll be honest, the last few months have been tough for Drew McIntyre professionally, but the last few days have been really tough for me and my family personally. Nothing was going to stop me from making this match, though, nothing. Hell in a Cell changes people. This time period has changed me. Ten months ago, I was looking to be a footnote at WrestleMania, but wasn't gonna let that happen. I won the chamber, won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. I won the Money in the Bank, main evented the first PLE in Scotland, and then defeated CM Punk in his first singles match back in the company. Not too bad, but tonight is gonna be the finishing touches on a career-best, a career year, by ending the professional wrestling career of CM Punk.

"It doesn't matter if we're on the pre-show, opening the show, halfway through the show, or in the main event. Everyone can go home and look at the match afterward. I appreciate everybody getting angry. Get angry for us. I ain't angry. All that matters is this match happens. This match ends. This thing ends tonight. The hatred dies," he added.

Drew McIntyre closed by saying that the match would not be a classic but that there would be blood.

"Think of promises. Always a good promise is: It's not going to be a classic, it's not going to be cinema, it's going to be brutal, it's going to shorten our careers. It's gonna be mutually assured destruction, and there will be blood. I apologize in advance for what people will see tonight."
