Drew McIntyre Says A Possible Match Happening Is 'In Batista's Court'

Drew McIntyre wants to wrestle Batista.

In the upcoming movie, The Killer's Game, Drew McIntyre is set to star opposite Dave Bautista as an assassin looking to kill Bautista's character, with the pair sharing a fight scene in the movie. McIntyre's first run in WWE came at a time where Batista was on his way out of the company, and the pair have not crossed paths inside a ring.

However, while speaking to Comicbook ahead of the release of The Killer's Game, McIntyre noted that he hopes that their fight scene will not be the closest thing to a possible match between the two.

"I hope not. I mean, the fight itself was a lot of fun and I was disappointed during my time in WWE when Dave was there. I kind of grew up around him in my early 20s. He was such a big star. Obviously, at the time, his peak of his career, we never had that singles match. So it's fun to get to fight with no restrictions. You can kill people in movies. But I am very up for it, obviously. It's in Dave's court. I said this earlier, I'm not saying that Dave's chicken if he doesn't accept the match, but he's definitely something that's another word for a cat. "

The Killer's Game is set to release in theatres on September 13, 2024.

Elsewhere in a seperate interview, Batista noted that while he misses wrestling, he won't tarnish his fairytale ending for another match. You can read more about that here.
