Drew McIntyre Suffers Injury During Takeover: WarGames

Drew McIntyre has suffered an injury that could put him out of action for months.

During the Facebook Live chat following NXT Takeover: WarGames, Triple H mentioned that they think Drew McIntyre might have suffered a torn bicep in his match against Andrade Cien Almas.

"It looks like Drew might have a torn bicep" Triple H said. "That's what put an end to the match" he said. "He's going to have a sleepless night tonight. He'll get an MRI tomorrow and probably have if it ends up being what we think it is."

In a fierce back and forth battle, Andrade Cien Almas captured the title from McIntyre after hitting a big spike DDT from the top rope to the floor after crotching McIntyre on the top rope. Cien had a huge celebration afterward, celebrating on top of the announcers table with the title.

It seems the injury may have stemmed from the finish, where McIntyre held on to the rope while Almas started the fall to plant him with the DDT. He may have held the top rope for too long, causing the injury. Most torn bicep injuries would take up to four months to heal, such as Scott Dawson's injured bicep that he suffered back in August. He's slated to be back next month.

NXT will next tape on November 29, which will probably be where the injury will be addressed, at least in a storyline capacity.
