Eddie Kingston discusses Bryan Danielson and Andrade El Idolo.
On tonight's AEW Collision, the AEW Continental Classic's Blue League round robin section will come to an end as three matches will take place. Eddie Kingston will look to avoid elimination on the show, as the Ring Of Honor World Champion will look to defeat Andrade El Idolo and secure his spot in the Blue League finals.
Kingston currently sits on six points, and would advance thanks to a tiebreaker victory over Andrade should he win. One of Kingston's losses came against Bryan Danielson, who currently sits on 9 points and looks to advance to the finals with a draw or victory against Claudio Castagnoli. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Kingston expressed his desire to face off with Danielson once again.
“I’d love another match against Bryan,” said Kingston. “I don’t like the guy. I’d love to break his other eye socket.”
While discussing his match with Andrade on tonight's edition of Collision, Kingston explained how he planned to get amped up for the must win matchup.
“We don’t have a lot in common, except for our love of professional wrestling. I make up things in my head so I hate my opponent and be more vicious when I’m in the ring. I can’t say it now because I don’t want to get too amped, but I’m getting an edge any way I can. I’ve got my motivation, and it’s a must-win. If you love hard-hitting wrestling, you’re going to watch. We’re going out on our shields and fighting for the sport we love.”
Kingston has put both his Ring Of Honor World Championship and NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship on the line in the Continental Classic.
