Eddie Kingston Isn't Staying Up-To-Date With Wrestling Outside Of Konosuke Takeshita, 'He’s The Only Person I’ll Watch'

Eddie Kingston has his eye on one man.

Kingston has been watching a ton of wrestling since going out with injury in May 2024, mainly sticking to older wrestling from promotions like NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

While speaking with Will Turner of Wrestling With The Narrative for a new interview, Kingston explained that he can't watch current wrestling because it will just piss him off.

“Nothing. I haven’t watched anything but stuff I want to watch. I haven’t watched AEW, I haven’t watched New Japan. I’ve watched old New Japan. I’ve watched, you know, my King’s Road stuff and I’ve watched early NOAH and that’s it. I don’t want to watch anything new because it’s just gonna piss me off. Whatever I watch is gonna piss me off, I know it is.”

Kingston then revealed that he is keeping his eyes on one current performer -- Konosuke Takeshita.

"There’s one person I’ve been watching. Takeshita, I’ve been watching. He’s the only person I’ll watch.”

Later on in the interview, Kingston briefly touched again on his desire to face Takeshita, saying that winning the AEW International Championship is the next step on his mind after holding the ROH World Championship, AEW Continental Championship, and NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kingston talked about Gabe Kidd's current run. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
