WWE confirmed the bout later in the night.
The upcoming scrap is a rematch from their Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36 which Edge won. Edge's match at Backlash will be his third since being out of the ring for nearly nine years.
Backlash is scheduled to take place on June 14 at the WWE Performance Center. Fightful will have live coverage of the event.
