The Rated-R Superstar has returned to the Royal Rumble.
Edge has made a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble match, coming in at No. 21 in front of a raucous crowd at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. Edge was able to make an impact on the match, getting to eliminate AJ Styles and Luke Gallows and even had a brief reunion with former tag team partner Randy Orton. The partnership lasted all the way to the final four as Edge eliminated Orton from the match but Edge was then eliminated by Roman Reigns.
It was Edge's first appearance in the Royal Rumble match since 2010, when he won the whole thing as a surprise entrant.

Back in 2011, Edge was forced to retire after WrestleMania 27 due to health concerns and vacated the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge would make the occasional appearance in WWE for years, even hosting a WWE Network show alongside Christian. Edge appeared at last year's SummerSlam and hit a spear on Elias.
