Emily Bett Rickards discusses working with Kamille and Toni Storm.
Emily Bett Rickards plays Mildred Burke in "Queen of the Ring", and several wrestlers are also part of the cast. AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm plays Clara Mortensen, and Kamille plays June Byers.
Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Emily Bett Rickards was asked about working with Toni Storm, Kamille, and the other wrestlers in the film.
“The only reason the wrestling looked so good is because of them. They’re total pros. They’re guiding me. When it looks like they’re not in the lead, they’re in the lead. Kamille is just a powerhouse. She is so, so good. She just always, it was like she didn’t even know me, and she just believed in me, in a sense. She came in, and she’s like, ‘You got this,’ she’s whispering in my ear as we’re doing stuff and totally leading the whole way. Toni was the same. Toni and my match, we rehearsed it and rehearsed it, and she’s helping me along. We shot that match in the middle of the night, through the night for the whole shoot day, and it was really taxing and difficult, but because of her is why it just looks so good, it looks like stardom. She just really makes it look good," Bett Rickards said.
