Eric Bischoff talks MLW One Shot.
On December 5, Eric Bischoff will take creative control of Major League Wrestling for one night only, as he'll be in charge of MLW One Shot. The show will take place at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York.
Many fans are eagerly anticipating this show, as Bischoff has often been critical of some modern wrestling promotions and how they do things compared to older times.
While speaking to Justin Barrasso for a new interview, Bischoff said that MLW didn't want him to come in and do a lame general manager shtick.
“This opportunity with MLW came together really spontaneously. The cool thing is [MLW CEO] Court Bauer and his really talented team didn’t want me to come in and do some dastardly General Manager stuff, and I didn’t either. We’ve seen that before, so we’re going a different route.”
Bischoff went on to say that he's going to present MLW's product in a really unique way.
“My fingerprints are going to be all over the production, and you’ll see that in how we build anticipation before the main event, especially with the backstage interviews,” said Bischoff. “I’m really excited. The appearance and finding a really unique way of presenting their product, that’s nothing but fun.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Bischoff said that he had no idea he was going to be in 'Mr. McMahon'. Learn more about those comments here.
